Layering Apps

Written by David on June 2nd, 2015.      0 comments

The brutalist approach to it is called app smashing, but like I said, this implies a brutalist, ill considered approach.  I call it layering, extracting the best learning intentions out of one app and passing that content to another app, and so on, until the eventual outcome is increased learning outcomes for students.

I also like to work with what I call generic apps, apps that have to be considered by a teacher for their learning potential and then have to plan deliberately for them.  I am not a great fan of passive apps that have one function, in effect digital busy work.  Check out the video below where I share how to layer two apps together to get a better learning outcome for students.
