I was asked before I went to ACEC2012 if I would write a guest blog post for My Town Tutors in the US. They follow me on Twitter. As I was presenting at Ulearn12 on tools to capture student voice I thought that I would share my thoughts on the revolution that the world of WiFi, mobile devices and apps is bringing to the classroom. In the article I argue that it is the apps that are causing the revolution and not the devices they sit on. It has long been my aim to make tecnology in the classroom become transparent and for teachers to ignore the clamour of vendors shouting the benefits of their device over their rivals, but to consider the learning the device and now the app can facilitate. With web based variants and apps written for the App Store and Google Play, that world is nearly with us. You can read my article here.
