Coding for all

Coding is not just for extension classes or specialist groups, it is and should be for everyone in every class. Making coding happen in your class will enhance thinking skills, problem solving skills and address critical aspects of the Key Competencies in your classroom.

This workshop will take the mystery out of coding, it will show you how you can start coding in year 1 with ease.  You will learn how to create a problem solving culture and a coding learning continuum in your school.  The workshop will show you a range of coding tools, apps and activities that you can use in class immediately.

You will learn how coding can be integrated into your existing programme and not be regarded as an extra in an already packed curriculum.  By  the end of the workshop you will have the confidence, skills and knowledge to effectively integrate coding into your class programme.

Tools for e-Learning

There are thousands of apps and websites that can be used to enable great e-Learning to happen in your classroom, but you do not have the time to research them.  We have taken the stress out of this situation and have created a practical one day workshop where you can discover new apps, websites and tools that you can use in your classroom.

This workshop will give you plenty of time to learn to use the tools you want to use in class but have not had the time to practice.  The workshop will show you how to integrate e-Learning activities into your existing class programme. In addition, you will learn how to maximise the learning potential that existing apps, websites and tools you already use can deliver through layering the best features of multiple apps and tools together.

Learn today, implement in class tomorrow

Making e-Learning work

Can’t stop yourself from raiding the resource room?  It’s a great resource, but does it help your e-Learning pedagogy?  Is   e-Learning still an “extra” in your classroom even after SNUP and UFB?

This one day workshop will help you identify where you can enhance e-Learning in your classroom.  We will look at the e-Learning cycle and how to create the infinite student feedback loop for deeper learning and increased student engagement.

You will be introduced to the principle of layering apps and website tools to maximise learning potential and finally you will have the opportunity to put into practice what you have learned and create e-Learning activities that you can take back to your classrooms and use with your students straight away.

BYOD bootcamp

BYOD underway, but it’s a bit underwhelming?  Why?   Has your pedagogy really adapted to meet the incredible learning potential that BYOD can offer to your students?  Have you harnessed all the tools that can facilitate the change you want to see in your classroom?

In this one day workshop we will investigate the reasons why  your BYOD project has stumbled and what you can do about it. You will have the opportunity to investigate a range of e-Learning tools that you can integrate into your class programme.

We will investigate what tools you can use to capture student voice and create a feedforward loop in your class.  Finally, you will be given time to explore new tools and create resources that you can use in your class tomorrow.
